What an absolute joy it is to see all of you who were baptized at and early age here on an apostate board!
Certainly, getting baptized young was a HUGE PROTECTION to you all!
i just received an email from an unbaptised publisher that made the following comment;.
in the uk the age of consent by law for a child is 16 and only then can they be baptized of their own free will.
is anyone aware of jws that have been baptised younger than 16 in the uk?.

im starting to think so.. i was still somewhat active in meeting and assembly attendance when i first started doubting the jw life.
when i first heard splane give a discourse, it was a real wake up call as to what kind of people are controling this organization.
the next time i heard him speak he was even worse.. as ive seen on this forum, many people have had the same experience.. in slimboyfats thread, http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/251890/1/british-zone-visit-from-david-splane-a-report-from-the-special-meeting-in-glasgow, he noted this gem from splane: if traumatic things have happened in your past then just don't think about it, that's the best you can do until the new system.. this is one of the most irresponsible and rage inducing comments i have ever heard.
I can only hope he or one of the other Eight Wonders of the World are at our convention this year. I am positive it would be a real "tipping point" for my wife and others like her.

I believe that God is a cheap answer that lets people get on with their lives. We can't all be scientists and philosophers.
Intersting you say this. . . Was just reading about Spinoza and that seems to be his take on it. . .
http://secular.org/news/atheists-say-irs-not-doing-enough-hold-churches-accountable.
washington, dcthe secular coalition for america today sent a letter to the white house, pointing out additional internal revenue service failings, including neglecting to investigate churches and religious charities that engage in politicking from the pulpit.. in its letter, the secular coalition said religious charities have been flaunting their flagrant disregard for [irs] laws for years.
over 1600 pastors participated in last years pulpit freedom sunday, where pastors not only violated the law by lobbying and endorsing candidates, but filmed their illegal actions and mailed them to the irs.. the secular coalitions letter comes on the heel of another letter sent to the white house by franklin graham earlier this week, asserting that the irs is improperly targeting religious charities for investigation, including the billy graham evangelistic association.
for fu@$ sake.
6000 years of it and still figuring out this universal sovereignty.
gimme a break.
All those first responders are acting soooooo short-sightedly (stupid humans!).
Instead of waiting on Jehovah and having faith that the end of this wicked, evil, and frankly YUCKY system is near, they pull survivors from the rubble and wreckage and administer "first aid" - which is nothing compared to EVERLASTING LIFE.
Since they are sooooooo blinded by Satan and can't possibly think the way Jehovah does, they try to save lives and reduce suffering.
How quaint!
In the mean time REAL PROBLEMS exist in the universe, i.e. the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of everything must get his point across whilst remaining invisible and completely undetectable. What a predicament HE is in!
was it worth attending?.
is your survival more sure now?.
which part of gods word is truth!
modern and appealing publications ie non Jw ones are shiny and bright, not in lovely pastel water colours like these.
Light-colored pastels = less ink = less $$$$$$$
well i went to a "special meeting" in the armadillo today where a 2 & 1/2 hour programme was relayed from london at 1pm.
apparently the letters of invitation only went out a month or so ago and not all congregations were invited.
there were 2,900 of us from around scotland.
If traumatic things have happened in your past then just don't think about it, that's the best you can do until the new system
For me, this statement establishes Mr. Splane as a complete, fucking shithead.
i am new here and briefly want to introduce myself.. my name is michel and i am from the netherlands.
became baptized when i was 14, started pioneering when i got 18 and i've been ms for a number of years.
i married another pioneer and after a while we joined a foreign language congregation.
another poster on here called separation of powers made a profound comment on another thread recently that i thought was worthy of starting a new thread about:.
"in my opinion, the new light regarding the fds addresses this question, if there was no fds from the 3rd century on until 1918, and yet the article states that there were anointed followers here and there during that almost 2000 years of no fds, then what organization did they follow?
there was no organization, yet they were anointed per the article.
women gained some ground this week when the nypd said they will no longer arrest women who choose to go topless (like the guys) in public.. http://www.policy.com/articles/42359/topless-women-in-public-not-breaking-the-law-says-nypd.
san francisco and fremont california have had the annual naked bike ride and solstice festivals for a few years now..
